: As he explains in the foreword (f. π2 and f. 2π2), Franciscus I Foppens bought the remaining stock from the heirs of Otto Venius. He removed the original first gathering and added two gatherings π and 2π with the title page and foreword in French in gathering π and in Dutch in gathering 2π. The rest of the original edition remained unaltered, including the colophon on f. 2H4 verso
